Background and Objective : Sachiltang(SCT) was known as anti-stress medicine.
The aim of this study is to investigate of plasma catecholamine and the effect of SCT on rats in immobilization stress.
Material and Method : Sprague-Dawley female rats were divided into 3 groups. The normal group(NG) was healthy 8 rats. The control(CG) and experimental group(EG) were subdivided 3 groups(CG1, CG2, CG3, EG1, EG2, EG3), were conditioned 12 hours a day immobilization stress for 5, 10, 11 days. And then, the plasma were obtained.
Results : Plasma epinephrine(EP), norepinephrine(NE) and dopamine of EG were decreased as compared with CG (EP & NE ; p<0.005, dopamine ; p<0.05)
Conclusion : SCT was useful in anti-stress effect.
